Board Of The Week! ![]() ![]() EZ-1 * New and approved* One of the most the popular board models with all our team riders and definitely a great all around short board.A standard low entry rocker into a accelerated tail lift New for '09, the deck has been foiled out and a narrow nose that leads to a curvy outline running into a single concave off the tail flip. All speculations make for a responsive /sensitive board with a quick precise release in the pocket, this board favors the surfer who prizes ultra-speed and finesse. 0 comments Post a Comment ![]() ![]() Bruce and Andy Irons Hold The Pine Tree Classic Irons Brothers Host 8th Annual Pine Tree Classic Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 February, 2009 : - - Surf Champions Andy and Bruce Irons will hold their 8th annual Irons Brothers Pine Tree Classic on Saturday, February 28th at Hanalei’s Pine Trees Beach. The Classic, which continues to grow in attendance each year, is a surf contest for young up and coming kids on the island and includes food, games and prizes from event sponsors. The one day event was created as a way to give back to the community where the Irons brothers grew up. It starts at 8 a.m. and is free for all kids who enter the contest. Surfers will be eligible to compete in the following categories: menehunes 6-8, boys and girls 9-10, and boys and girls 11-12. “Bruce and I look forward to doing this contest every year for the kids, and it has been amazing to see how it’s grown over the years. We might have had half of the islands population on the beach last year with kids running around everywhere in full mayhem mode. More than anything it’s a surf contest that’s meant to bring everyone from Kauai together for the day and the kids all leave winners thanks to our sponsors.” Andy said regarding the event. Andy Irons would like to thank the following sponsors: Billabong, Billabong Surfboards, Von Zipper, Dakine and Nixon Watches. Bruce Irons would like to thank the following sponsors: Volcom, Oakley Eyewear, Dakine, JS Surfboards, Red Bull Energy Drink, DC Shoes and Nixon Watches. 0 comments Post a Comment ![]() ![]() A Fly In The Champagne premier was at La Paloma in Encinitas this past friday.Kelly Slater and Andy Irons were there! ![]() ![]() Oceanside Pier [AA] Sun Diego/Ezekiel Event! The prevailing waves couldn't stop the Ezera team from making finals. Although the surf was inconsistent and lacked enough power to barely push these guys, we made a stand.Sean Pearson used his local knowledge to snag a First place finish in the Juniors, Second place in the mens open, and highest heat score of the event[8.5]. Next up in the Juniors final where JD McFadden edged out the competition to make away with a 3rd place finish. During the Mens final, Squaw was laying down huge hacks almost winning the most radical maneuver award but ended up short and received 4Th place. We also had 10 year old up and comer Kylie surfing the women's division, she ripped her way into 2ND place! Come check out the team at the next Sun Diego event, February 21'st at San Fernando. ![]() 0 comments Post a Comment ![]() Thursday, February 5, 2009
